Field Trip
I went to the Zoo on Tuesday. Not just any zoo, but the AUDUBON ZOO!!! Great place.
What’s a zoo without the flamingos? Placed strategically right at the entrance. The cute little monkeys…
Isn’t the green shockingly so?
Hannah and her friend, yep, you can’t tell, but there’s a silverback gorilla behind them.
The Reptile Encounter! Most impressive. Most appreciative of the thin glass of separation. between me and all of the rattlers, pythons, etc.
A little carousel fun!
All in all we had a great time. The weather was perfect. Clear skies and sunshine, but a nice cool breeze. It was just spectacular. I’d love to go back and enjoy the zoo more leisurely. We zoomed around that zoo 1 1/2 times in the course of 3 hours. That included a carousel ride, a “train ride” around the zoo, some archeological excavation in the “Mayan Ruins”, climbing up the netting on Monkey Hill, and some good splashing around in “Pride Falls”, purchasing blue raspberry slushies, and the neccessary trip to the souvenir shop. I was nodding off for real on the 1 1/2 hour trip back on the bus.
