Here it is… what you’ve all been waiting for, a white christmas in Louisiana. :D This stuff is ridiculous! :) Dad bought some while he was on vacation and gave me a box… I’ve got to bring it around for ya’ll to play with too… I wish I could get the video on here, but can’t, do click here  http://www.snow-powder.com to watch (it’s short james!) the incredibly cheesy infomercial ad. The cheezier the better, huh? The news reporter is also wonderfully obnoxious.

  2. I brought this to our office Christmas party at a restaurant here in town. We poured water on it (in a plate) and then left it alone.

It looks suspiciously like an illegal substance… I think we stirred up the staff of the restaurant (Sullivan’s) quite a bit. We had a private room yet their entire waiting staff must have come through with an eye on the plate of powder.

  3. Is it just flaky, or is it like snow, where it melts?

  4. Well, I hate to dissolve the mystery around it…

It kind of detracts from the initial enjoyment of it, like when a magic trick is explained. :)

But, as I am not willing to live a double life nor cut off fingers to maintain the illusion… lol! I’ll tell you.

No, actually it is very deceptive. It looks like snow, then throws your head for a loop when you touch it because it feels nothing like snow. It’s room temperature, #1, and #2 it is actually this polymer stuff that absorbs the water, so it just feels like tiny soft plastic pellets.

But not to discourage you, it is still freakishly cool when you see it expand the first time. :D I always did love science experiments. It can also be placed in the freezer, making it a bit more snow-like.
